How to Keep Warm in Winter

Winter is coming (sorry, I had to). So this Tip is all about How to Keep Warm in Winter. The reason our hands and feet get cold in the winter is that our body prioritizes keeping our vital organs like our heart. There are some informative tips to keep warm our body

How to Keep Warm in Winter Season?

Layer up.
Pretty obvious. Instead of cranking the thermostat right away, put on a few layers. Slippers, fuzzy socks, a sweater will all help you combat winter chills.

Sip.
Contrary to popular belief, drinking alcohol will not make you warmer. Drinking an alcoholic beverage actually lowers your body’s core temperature. The obvious, effective choice is a hot drink like tea, coffee or hot chocolate. The trick is to sip your beverage (not chug it down) and to keep bundled while you sip your drink. This allows the heat generated by the drink to stay trapped within you.

Bake!
Using your oven will warm the whole house.

Eat.
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. And for good reason! Being well fed and hydrated will actually help your body handle the cold better.

Get used to it (lol).
Apparently, we can acclimatize ourselves to cold weather. People who spend plenty of time outdoors, in the cold will actually feel cold at a lower temperature than people who don’t spend much time in the cold at all.

Avoid cotton
It doesn’t dry fast so if you get wet wearing cotton it can actually pull heat away from you.
