Crisis in Flint

Since 2014, residents of Flint, Michigan have not had access to safe drinking water. Their water became contaminated with lead after the city changed its water supply. Lead from old pipes seeped into homes after the city changed its drinking water supply. Local authorities declared a public health emergency way back in October, and finally on Wednesday, member of the Michigan National Guard were headed to Flint hand out bottled water and other supplies to residents of Flint.
