It’s well-established that water can provide benefits while exercising, but did you know that drinking water can actually boost your brain power?
A recent UK study has found that even mild dehydration can negatively affect brain performance. By comparison, reaction times of those who were hydrated were 14% quicker compared to those who are dehydrated. Dehydration can also affect short-term memory and the ability to do quick calculations such as calculating the time it will take for a daily commute.

Our brain cells maintain a delicate balance of water in order to function properly. When dehydrated, that balance is disrupted, causing your brain cells to lose their ability to optimally function. This disrupted balance results in the cognitive performance losses experienced while dehydrated.
So for all of our readers currently in school with exams on the horizon, make to keep those brain cells happy by staying hydrated.
